Bubble Tower

Updated: Aug 16, 2020

An easy bubble blowing sensory activity using items from around the house for toddlers and preschoolers.

When you think of “sensory play” do you think of messy?⠀

Well this sensory play activity will actually make your play space cleaner than when you started 🤪⠀

This simple bubble blowing activity is a great way to explore cause and effect. It’s also a lot of fun! Bubble Tower is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.⠀

You'll need: water, dish soap, small bowl, straw, food coloring, tray

  1. Fill a small bowl with food coloring, water, and a few squirts of dish soap.

  2. Place the bowl on a tray or baking sheet to catch the bubbles.

  3. Place a straw into the water and blow. Continue blowing and watch the bubbles overflow!

I used a disposable straw (but washed it to reuse again) to do a little hack I learned so E could blow bubbles but not suck up any liquid- just snip the straw where it bends.

This activity requires adult supervision. Use your best judgement when setting up activities for your children.
