Easter Basket Ideas: 2020
Updated: Aug 16, 2020
Montessori inspired Easter basket ideas and egg filler alternatives.

We likely won't be visiting the Easter bunny this year as a result of social distancing but I'm still trying to make this holiday special! I've been working hard to create an exciting Easter for Emmie and Rory while only being able to shop online. With a little more planning in advance, I've put together some super cute, Montessori-inspired Easter baskets (and I've come up with some candy alternative Easter egg fillers)!

This year I've tried to come up with practical items that we'll be using around the house or outdoors as the weather warms up. Each child (Emmie- 3 & Rory- 2 months) will receive an Easter basket, we'll have an Easter egg hunt, and enjoy a yummy family breakfast together. The kids will also receive sensory bean bags as a joint gift from the Easter bunny!

Basket (I purchased cloth baskets that are easy to store and can be reused year after year)
Easter grass (We've had this Easter grass for 3 years now and originally bought it to use as a sensory base- play silks are a great reusable option that can double as a gift!)
Spreader (For food prep)
Markers (The thin markers are easier to remove the cap independently but these smelly markers would be so fun too!)
Candy (Em will receive a tube of M&Ms and a chocolate bunny)

Egg shakers (for a wooden version, I recommend these egg shakers)
Pull toy (this is a gift for the future)
Boat bath toy (can also be used for sensory play)
Chocolate bunny (just for fun! I'll be eating this, I promise)
